Vikramaditya G. Yadav is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering and School of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Master of Engineering Leadership in Sustainable Process Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He leads one of Canada’s most innovative and diverse research programs in industrial and environmental biotechnology and has advised national and international agencies on advancing the circular economy. He is also a serial cleantech innovator and entrepreneur, specializing in building and advising transformative companies that deliver solutions for hard-to-abate sectors such as construction, transportation, energy, mining, materials, water and manufacturing. He has co-founded three startups – Metabolik Technologies (water), Tersa Earth Innovations (mining and metals), and Tydra Labs (sustainable textiles). He also serves as a technical advisor to MAKS Global Repairs, a climate-tech business advisory firm. He was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Leaders Under 40, and is the recipient of the Killam Teaching Prize and Killam Accelerator Research Prize at UBC.
